The Last Word - Thomas Candlish - for chamber orchestra and two spoken voices
This work was original conceived to accompany a production of James Broughton's 1958 play The Last Word. This shortened version is built on the original work and is intended to be a "reading" by two speakers, male and female, accompanied by a chamber orchestra. The orchestration includes, flute (piccolo), oboe (English horn), clarinet, bassoon, violins 1 & 2, viola, cello, piano, harp and percussion.
